In Memoria

During the course of this project, some of the patients who shared their stories with us succumbed to their illnesses.

For those who died, their illnesses were diagnosed very late in their development and in seeking treatment they generally faced long wait times and prices beyond their means. 

As the health system works to improve diagnosis and treatment, raising awareness of and providing access to palliative care can provide patients with end-of-life care that is respectful and pain-free.

Samwell died peacefully on August 26, 2015. He was 52 years old.

Brian died on November 3, 2015. 

Rosemary died on December 3, 2015, leaving behind nine children that had been in her care.
